Maybe Chelsea Lumber could buy it and keep the same business? If you could envision something special there what would it be?
Now you have to take into consideration the property IS the floodway. This means it WILL flood. Humm, that changes the picture but something will be developed here. Gotta get those photos taken before it changes.
Any ideas for the best use for these very valuable 7 acres of land?

If you would like to learn how to photograph nature be sure to come out to the The Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy guided tour of the Morris-Reichert Nature Preserve on Sunday 2:00 - 4:00. The address is 16720 Dutton Road, Gregory, MI 48137 and it is only a half a mile North of Dexter Trail and east of M52.
The coolest part is that the volunteers will be helping with nature photography and all are encouraged to enter in the 2008 SMLC Nature Photography Contest “Our Backyard”.
You can view some wonderful photography at Mike Gould’s website and he is one of the advisers for the event. Sounds like a great opportunity to hike and take photos!
When you arrive be sure to park along Dutton Road. Hope to see you there.

Myra Klarman has an incredible exhibit at the Power Center and it truly captures the feeling that you get when you attend the Top of the Park and the Summer Festival events. It is a excellent group of photography that is 6 feet wide and is simply wonderful to view in person. Her website might give you a hint of her fantastic work and I hope you take time to view these in person! They are fabulous! I can’t wait to give positive feedback to the people who pick the Summer Festival artist for chosing a local wonderful artist. Excellent choice!
Here are the days and hours to view:
- Thursday, June 26, 7-10 pm
- Saturday, June 28, 7-10 pm
- Sunday, June 29, 7-10 pm
- Wednesday, July 2, 7-10 pm
- Thursday, July 3 7-10 pm

Help is still needed this Sunday for the volunteer heavy Tour de Kids in Ann Arbor for Sunday, June 15.
Yes, I know it’s Father’s Day but if you could share a little bit of your day for the enjoyment of the little ones, I know some dedicated volunteer teams would really appreciate it.
Drop me a note and I’ll let you know who to contact.
If you are a Dad, have a great weekend. This one is for you and all you do!
Hope the weather gets better soon.

Oh how I love the summer in Ann Arbor!
When kids don’t get out of school until June 15 as they do in Ann Arbor there is a very special feeling of relief that comes with summer…just as Tree Town starts its fabulous Summer Festival. This is the 25th Anniversary for the Top of the Park and what a summer party it is!
Tonight is The Macpodz starting at 9:00 and My Dear Disco warming up the crowd. Tomorrow is our town fav Madcat and Kane and they start at 7:00. Hope to see you there!
The list is long and summertime fun runs until July 6. Ride your bike, walk on down or catch a bus but I hope to see you there.
